About Rosedale

Rosedale’s roots date back to the mid 1800s, when the area was settled by William Botsford Jarvis and his wife, Mary Jarvis. Mary named the community for the wild roses that grew there. In 1864, the family’s estate was sold, paving the way for subdivision. Today, Rosedale is regarded as one of Toronto’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. It’s consistently ranked among the best local communities by popular publications.

South Rosedale is located just minutes from Yonge and Bloor—one of the busiest intersections in Toronto’s downtown core. The northern part of the neighbourhood expands almost as far north as St Clair Avenue and as far east as Bayview Avenue.
