King West

This trendy downtown Toronto neighbourhood has finally peaked. Once a gritty strip of industrialized buildings, this area is now home to businesses, residences and an ever-changing roster of nightlife spots for professionals in the know. It’s often compared to Manhattan’s Soho neighbourhood, but we think it’s got a flavour of its own.

“Millionaire’s Row,” is a stretch of chic lofts along Wellington Street is known for its swanky pads, and the Thompson Hotel on Wellington Street is known for a sweet urban rooftop pool. King West is also home to the Toronto International Film Festival, so you might just spot some celebrities during that time of year.

Need your job, your side business, your gym, and your favourite martini bar all within a few blocks? This could be the vibe you’re looking for.

There are a ton of design, tech, and advertising firms peppered throughout King West, as well as other businesses. Residents are often young, career-focused, and social. You won’t find many kids or babies in this neighbourhood, unless they are the 4-legged variety.

Proximity to everything, tons of great spots to socialize with your friends, and lots of beautiful buildings. It’s obvious why so many people swear by life in this area—it’s fun!
