About Roncesvalles
Affectionately known as “Ronces” to locals and visitors alike, this ever-popular area has a distinct village-like feel and an undeniable charm. Traditionally a polish area, those authentic butchers, bakeries and delis are still busy spots amongst the popular cafes, restaurants, and shops. This green leafy neighbourhood is arguably one of the most popular strolls in downtown Toronto. Roncesvalles side streets date back to the 1900s, and the side streets are characterized with Edwardian and Victorian houses, leafy porches, and beautiful gardens.
