About Mineola

A former agricultural community, Mineola developed quickly during the pre-war period. Spurred on by the opening of the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), the area really took shape during this time. Today, the community (which sits north of Port Credit, stretching to the QEW between Cawthra and the Credit River) is known as the most luxurious pocket of Mississauga.

Mineloa’s exclusivity helps boost its status as one of the most sought-after parts of the city. Like most Mississauga areas, it’s a good place to have a car.

Who Lives Here

Mineola is home to many affluent residents, some of whom have been here for over 30 years. This is particularly true of those on the east side. Although the neighbourhood is known for its baby-boomer population, its larger west end homes are becoming increasingly popular with younger Torontonians who are ready for suburbia.
