March Break is coming up fast. Are you prepared? One of the best parts of living in Toronto and the GTA is the long list of fun and exciting ways to spend this time off with your family.

If you’re looking for a few ideas, we’ve curated a list of some of our favourite March Break activities across the region. Spring is around the corner, but winter’s chill may still be in the air, so we’ve made sure to include numerous indoor activities to enjoy while keeping warm.

Toronto March Break Activities

Ontario Science Centre: One of Ontario’s beloved landmarks is still offering fantastic programming for inquisitive minds! At the Harbourfront Centre, children under 10 can explore the world of STEM in the most fun way possible – through hands-on experiences.

Art Gallery of Ontario: You can never go wrong with an afternoon in Canada’s largest art gallery. Here, your family can take in the wonders of some of the world’s greatest masterpieces – or create your own through a series of artmaking challenges and games.

Ripley’s Aquarium: This venue is a must-see if you’re looking to explore the magic of the ocean! Either head downtown for a day trip or take a staycation at one of the city’s finest hotels and visit this iconic aquarium for some wondrous learning and fun!

Imagine Dragons at Casa Loma: If you have an older child, this is a great way to flex their creative thinking during March Break! “Imagine Dragons” is an immersive Medieval display that takes you and your loved ones through the gardens, tunnels, and stables of one of Toronto’s most treasured landmarks.

The Fun Never Ends in Toronto!

Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience: No matter how grown up the kids may be, no one will ever be too old for dinosaurs! This fully immersive exhibit is sure to be a hit with all of your family members as you explore the giant reptiles who ruled the prehistoric world. It’s a rare chance to get up close and personal with the mighty T-Rex – if you dare. Roar!

Black Creek Pioneer Village: This year, the March break is dedicated to all things Maple Syrup related at the Black Creek Pioneer Village. This one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure takes your children back in time to see how this sweet treat was made in the olden days!

Winter Stations at Woodbine Beach: Winter Stations is an international design competition where artists create dazzling displays along the beach. This year features five award-winning designs that will capture your imagination. What better way to instill an appreciation of art in your little ones? Best of all, admission is free!

The National Ballet of Canada: What happens when a magical fairy tale is reimagined through an exquisite ballet performance? It becomes a night to remember with your family, as well as the perfect March Break activity this year.

Bubble Planet: If you can’t get enough of these immersive exhibits, here’s another one you won’t want to miss. Journey through a series of rooms full of oversized bubbles and fun, not to mention an explosion of colour. Young children aren’t the only ones who will go wild for this exhibit. Mississauga March Break Activities

Puppet Festival Mississauga: Enjoy this seven-day puppetry festival at the start of March Break! Designed to promote puppetry from around the world and celebrate it as one of the oldest art forms. Check out the shows, workshops, and panels to learn more about this fascinating craft!
