Amazing Fall Activities to Enjoy with Your Loved Ones in Mississauga

Oct 13, 2022 | Mississauga

As hard as it may be to say goodbye to warm weather, Mississauga has many exciting activities to look forward to in the Fall. Already, the leaves are starting to put on a spectacular display. You can’t help but feel the festivity in the air as you wander down the tree-lined streets or through one of Mississauga’s many beautiful parks. Just think of all of the fun adventures that you can enjoy with your family in the next few weeks. Here are some of our favourite things to do when Autumn arrives.

Visit a Farmer’s Market

What could be better than fresh baked goods, locally grown produce, and decorative pumpkins and gourds? Mississauga has several farmer’s markets throughout the year, and they’re a great way to ensure the quality of your meals while supporting local farmers and other vendors. Here are some of the markets that are still running late into the Fall:

  • Lion’s Farmer’s Market is open every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until October 30 at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.
  • Lakeview Farmer’s Market offers an indoor and outdoor market, making it a fantastic place to spend a rainy afternoon. It’s open every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. until November 27 at 1352 Lakeshore Rd East.
  • The Streetsville Hello Local Fall Market is back, and you can feel the excitement in the crisp Fall air. Here’s your chance to pick up some one-of-a-kind items that are handmade by local vendors and artists. There will be plenty to eat and drink, including delicious fresh-baked goods and cotton candy. Talented buskers and a kids’ craft booth will help keep everyone entertained. This free, must-attend event takes place from October 15 to October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Streetsville Village Square.

Halloween in Clarkson Village

This year, the children’s Halloween event of the season happens on Saturday, October 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m in Clarkson Village. Local businesses along the Lakeshore come together to provide a day children will remember.
